چکیده
Abstract Background and objective High resting heart rate (HR) associates with cardiovascular death (CVD) failure hospitalisation (HFH) in patients reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), but data are sparse preserved (HFpEF) or mildly (HFmrEF) fraction. Empagliflozin the risk of CVD HFH HFpEF EMPEROR-Preserved trial. This study analyses influence HR on outcomes left ventricular (LVEF) >40% evaluates effects empagliflozin across categories. Methods Patients (n=5988) (LVEF >40%) were categorised to <70 beats per minute (bpm), 70–75 bpm >75 bpm. The composite (primary outcome), first HFH, CVD, recurrent all-cause mortality studied groups separated by sinus rhythm (SR) atrial fibrillation (AF) true (EF ≥50%) HFmrEF 40–49%). Results did not over time. At bpm, primary outcome (hazard ratio: 1.31, 1.13–1.52, p=0.0003), time 1.25, 1.04–1.49, p=0.02), 1.29, 1.05–1.60, 1.49, 1.21–1.84, p=0.0001) 1.28–1.73, p<0.0001) increased compared showing intermediate results. was only observed SR (p trend=0.005), AF trend=0.55). (≥50%) (40–49%) showed similar effects. treatment reduce outcome, modified HR. Conclusions SR, AF, predicts HFmrEF, Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: Private company. Heart rate and outcomes in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction
Importance Lower systolic blood pressure (SBP) levels are associated with poor outcomes in patients with heart failure. Less is known about this association in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). Objective To determine the associations of SBP levels with mortality and other outcomes in HFpEF. Design, Setting, and Participants A propensity score-matched observational stud...

BACKGROUND A lower heart rate is associated with better outcomes in patients with heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (EF). Less is known about this association in patients with HF with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). OBJECTIVES The aims of this study were to examine associations of discharge heart rate with outcomes in hospitalized patients with HFpEF. METHODS Of the 8,8...

متن کاملHeart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction
Symptomatic heart failure, despite preserved left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction, is a well-recognized phenomenon. This manifestation of diastolic dysfunction is associated with increased morbidity and mortality and can be attributed to a variety of pathogeneses, including diabetes mellitus, hypertension, infiltrative processes, and obesity. Unlike in systolic heart failure, where LV ejecti...
